I am proud to represent you every day in Washington, DC and across our great country, and recently we had an incredible opportunity to speak pro-life truth before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
Senators like Ted Cruz are powerful champions for the human right to life, and he and his colleagues know the tremendous impact that Americans United for Life makes in advancing the human right to life in culture, law, and policy. It's why I was invited to speak on behalf of pro-life Americans against the extreme and cynically named "Women's Health Protection Act" that would "codify Roe," expand abortion, and threaten to wipe out a generation of pro-life law and policy at the state level.
Simply put, the bill would be a federal power grab. It would be an attack on democracy and an attack on the will of Americans in the majority of the states who favor protections from the abortion industry and from the violence and harm of abortion culture.
After my testimony, it fortunately became clear that this bill will not go anywhere so long as voices like yours and mine continue to be heard in Washington, DC. You can watch our testimony here:
