Just4kids visit: I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the founder of Chloe’s & Sophie’s Special Ear Fund, Karen Jackson, and learning about how the charity is raising deaf awareness. Karen is immensely passionate about this issue, and the work she and the charity have been doing has brightened the lives of so many deaf children. You can read more about the charity and some of its latest initiatives, such as supplying clear panel facemasks to teachers working in schools for deaf children, here ([link removed]) . I look forward to learning what more the Government plans to do to support deaf people in the UK's enhanced Disability Inclusion Strategy which is being launched later this year.

Great British Spring Clean: I was delighted to join the Camberley litter pick last month. Over 150,000 people across Britain pledged their support for this fantastic campaign – an immense national effort which we should all be proud of. You can find out more about the event here ([link removed]) .

Touchwood Pharmacy visit: It was great to meet the team at Touchwood Pharmacy to discuss the work they have been doing throughout the pandemic, and you can read more about my visit here ([link removed]) .

Warren Wood: Last month I trekked to Warren Wood to learn about the incredible project being undertaken by the Surrey Choices team and the Surrey Heath Tree Wardens which is ensuring the preservation of this beautiful pocket of ancient woodland in Frimley. You can find some pictures of my visit here ([link removed]) .

Nilosa Beauty visit: I was hugely grateful to Nichola at Nilosa Beauty for having me to visit. It is a great business on Frimley High Street with such a friendly and relaxing atmosphere, and you can find out more about my visit here ([link removed]) .

Save Me Trust: Grace the Hedgehog, pictured with me below, has been touring schools in Surrey Heath to teach children about the importance of protecting hedgehogs. The Amazing Grace Project ([link removed]) has delivered survey kits and brochures to a number of local schools so that children can collect vital data that will help keep hedgehogs in Surrey Heath safe.
