Last night, Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans blocked the For the People Act.

This bill would have worked to protect and expand voting rights, end voter suppression tactics, and stop billionaires from buying our elections. Our democracy is sacred, but for too long it has been working for the special interests instead of for the people.

I was proud to help introduce the For the People Act, and I will keep working to get dark money out of politics. Every American deserves full access to the ballot box -- and we need to make it easier to vote, not harder.

But the moment I voted to advance the For the People Act, the GOP launched a massive six-figure campaign against me in New Hampshire. I only won by 1,017 votes in 2016, and with Mitch McConnell only needing to flip one seat to take back control, I’m his number one target.

National Republicans, special interest groups, and dark money billionaires are spending big on attack ads. We can’t match their massive war chest, but we can’t fall too far behind. That’s why I need your help: can you rush $5 or more to protect this crucial Senate seat and stop Mitch McConnell?

We can’t give up any ground in the fight to protect our democracy. It's more important than ever to protect and expand our Senate majority.
