NRDC Activist,

I am thrilled to share the news that Manish Bapna will be the new
President and Chief Executive Officer of NRDC.

Throughout his 25-year career, Manish has built an outstanding track
record as a highly regarded international leader in the environmental
movement. Most recently, Manish served as Interim President and CEO of the
World Resources Institute (WRI), where he helped set up several new
programs to drive bold action on climate change and clean energy, food,
forests, water, and cities. He also oversaw efforts to embed equity into
WRI’s mission, culture and programs, leading a diverse taskforce to ensure
implementation.

Manish recognizes that NRDC's unique blend of science, policy, advocacy,
and litigation is exactly what's needed to meet this moment. And he knows
that members are central to NRDC's ability to drive change. Your activism
and involvement are two things that most excited Manish about joining us
at NRDC. You'll be hearing more from him once he joins us officially at
the end of August.

We have an exciting journey ahead of us, and I am excited to welcome
Manish to the NRDC family. Thank you for your continued partnership and
