I placed Jahana’s race on my list of “Frontline” races this cycle because CT-05 is always a toss-up district – meaning this is one of the most critical races in the country this election cycle.
Republicans are already spending substantial money on this race. The National Republican Campaign Committee (NRCC) just launched a five-figure digital, radio and billboard campaign against a handful of Democrats in toss-up districts – and Jahana is one of them.
These ads, as well as others from special interest groups, attack her for taking the path of responsibility and for doing her job for the constituents of CT-05. So I’m reaching out to you, John, and all of Jahana’s top supporters to ask personally if you would consider donating what you can to Jahana’s re-election campaign today.

Jahana is the leader we need in Congress right now. Just take a look at all House Democrats have done over the past six months:
- A historic recovery package in the American Rescue Plan;
- Preventing gun violence;
- Protecting women from violence;
- Defending our Dreamers and farmworkers;
- Ending discrimination against the LGBTQ community;
- Safeguarding our democracy.
The list goes on from there. We have more critical work to do for our country, but we cannot do it without our majorities in Congress.
I’m reaching out right now because CT-05 is a 50/50 split district with an almost equal number of Democratic and Republican voters. This is a close race every cycle, and as we approach the critical quarterly fundraising reporting deadline at the end of June, it is important that Jahana is in a good position to get the message out about the work she is doing in Congress.
