Dear John,
This past weekend, we celebrated Juneteenth as an official holiday, something my family has been celebrating for decades. It is long overdue that this important holiday receives the attention and recognition it deserves.
All this month, we have been celebrating Pride, a time to recognize, love, and support our LGBTQ+ community members. It was here in San Francisco that Harvey Milk became the first openly gay elected official in California's history, and it was here that we recognized the first Transgender Cultural District in the nation. I hope we can reflect on our City's legacy and rededicate ourselves to being champions of inclusivity.
Since 2019, I’ve been serving on the Board of Supervisors to represent the diverse needs and interests of District 10. From fighting for racial justice and reparations to ensuring the City remains accessible to all -- I’ve never been in this fight alone. As I head into re-election next year, can I count on your financial support to help me in this fight?
We’ve got a big filing deadline just around the corner, and we need to make a statement that this campaign is a force to be reckoned with. Can I count on you to help kick off my re-election campaign with a founding donation? Chip in $25 » Chip in $50 » Chip in $100 » Chip in another amount » I would not be able to do this without wonderful supporters like you. Let’s continue to build a stronger San Francisco.
Gratefully,
- Shamann
