Today, the Rian Immigrant Center will testify alongside the Irish Pastoral Center in support of the Work and Family Mobility Act.
We stand in solidarity with the broad-based coalition of community, faith, business and labor organizations in Massachusetts in support of H.3456/S.2289 - a Bill that would enable all qualified state residents to apply for a Massachusetts driver's license, regardless of immigration status
Members of our communities need driver's licenses to safely get themselves and family members to work and to bring their children to school. If Massachusetts passes this bill we will be joining 17 other states and jurisdictions that have passed laws providing residents without status access to driver’s licenses — states such as New York, Delaware, California.
There are an estimated 275,000 individuals living in Massachusetts that could benefit fom this bill. Join us in recognizing immigrants as members of our communities who deserve access to drivers licenses.
