John -- I’ve been saying to our friends and supporters all month: Don’t be pessimistic, don’t feel despair. Commit yourself to action. Today, we saw the first step in what will be a hard process: Every Democrat in the United States Senate voted to advance needed voting rights legislation.
Never forget: The people -- Republicans, Independents, and Democrats alike -- support this bill. We all understand that we cannot continue to allow partisan politicians to dictate the terms of our democracy through gerrymandering and voter suppression.
There’s still much we need to do -- and there’s still action Congress must take -- to make our government work for the people.
Will you consider making a donation right now to help All On The Line continue pressuring Congress to pass comprehensive democracy reforms? We must act.

From the very beginning, All On The Line has been deploying a state-by-state strategy to achieve fair legislative maps. Our theory of change is that by establishing electoral districts that accurately represent the people, we can help to make real the progress that’s needed on every issue that Americans care about.
Our movement will continue its efforts to convince Congress to pass comprehensive democracy reforms. But we will also continue our state-by-state plan to achieve fair maps this year -- regardless of decisions made in Washington.
Make a donation to All On The Line and help us continue both our local work to end gerrymandering -- and our efforts to achieve national voting reform -- so that we can restore our democracy once and for all.
Persistence will win this fight,
Eric H. Holder, Jr.
