Hi John,

I'm reaching out on a very important matter. I hope you'll read this email to the end -- but if you don't have much time and want to support efforts to keep the House Majority in Democratic hands, you can chip in here.

Let me be clear: Republicans’ behavior this year has been appalling. Kevin McCarthy is running a three-ring circus -- except that "running" isn't accurate, because we know the person really running things is Donald Trump. Rep. McCarthy has completely abdicated his responsibilities in favor of keeping extremists like Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Lauren Boebert content.

His House Republicans refused to investigate the January 6 insurrection (perhaps because they’re scared of the public learning the truth about any connections to the rioters). Not a single Republican voted for the American Rescue Plan, which is responsible for delivering vaccines to the American people and getting our country back on track. In fact, they've completely refused to work with Democrats and the Biden administration, betting on obstruction as the path that will lead them to a Majority.

Here's the scary part: They could be right. Dark-money Republican donors are seeing the obstruction and rewarding it with millions of dollars, which will go to fund attack ads against our Democrats. Add in GOP voter suppression, gerrymandering, and the support of the Trump machine and we could end up with people like McCarthy, Gaetz, Greene, and Boebert running the House in 2023!

That's unless strong Democrats like you fight back starting now. I'm asking you to make a donation to House Majority PAC to protect our Democratic Majority and all the progress we've made. Will you pitch in?

The truth is, Democrats' Majority is incredibly slim, so we can't afford to lose any seats -- including those being contested in special elections this summer. We know Republicans will be throwing everything they have into taking back power. We have to be able to match and beat their efforts.

The alternative is disaster: People like Greene and Gaetz running important committees. Complete loyalty to Donald Trump. An unraveling of the support we provided for working families and our path to a brighter future.

I know you're not going to let that happen, John. I appreciate the time you spent reading this email and I'm going to ask one more time, from the bottom of my heart: Can you pitch in now, any amount, to help Democrats protect our House Majority?
