You showed up for us
I'm writing to say thank you.

This past year was HARD. I don't have to explain why; you certainly feel it. Still, I'm PROUD. I'm proud of the way we showed up for Planned Parenthood patients.

Through it all, you continued to fight for reproductive freedom. You helped us face unimaginable challenges. And together, we celebrated some amazing victories (Like putting reproductive health champions in the White House — you did that)! And we took steps toward real change that show what we can accomplish when we fight for sexual and reproductive health care.
Let's take a look at the impact of our movement:
megaphone 10,000+ calls to Congress for COVID-19 relief
people 381,000 people reached through online supporter briefings and trainings
megaphone 141,089 comments to overturn the Title X gag rule
And all this action has led to undeniable real-world impact successes. Need proof?
  • Over 95 bills introduced in state legislatures that protect or expand access to abortion
  • Passage of the American Rescue Plan Act, including $50 million in additional Title X funding
  • Suspension of mandatory in-person pickup in a health center of mifepristone, one of two medications used in medication abortion, during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • For the first time in decades, the president's budget does NOT include the discriminatory Hyde Amendment
When we take action, this is what we can achieve — real progress.

Attacks on abortion access skyrocketed this year, with states introducing over 550 restrictions, and more are coming. We're deeply grateful for your support, so that we can be prepared for the bumpy road ahead.

We've seen the tears — and long-lasting consequences — when people are blocked from making their own decisions about their bodies. And we will keep fighting for access for everyone — especially with an upcoming Supreme Court case on Mississippi's 15-week abortion ban. In the halls of Congress and state houses, in the media, and definitely online, you've helped us fight to protect and expand access to the care people need.

If there's one thing these numbers show me, it's that together we are powerful. And with your support, we'll be ready for the battles ahead.
Sincerely,
Kelley Robinson, Executive Director
