Friends,
I am so thankful for all you have done--thanks to you I am working for you and us on equity on the County Board via the resolution we passed last month along with the steps we are taking to follow through AND we are meeting the challenge of turning Virginia Blue--you came through for Wendy Gooditis in a way I will always be grateful for.

With Delegate Hala Ayala earlier this year at an event where I committed to help her.

But I also want to be honest with you: I stay up at night worrying about the next 25 days and whether we will be able to finish what we started. The race that keept me up worrying this week is Delegate Hala Ayala's, against a former delegate who I know will be hard to beat in this off, off election year.
So, please take 1 minute 46 seconds to hear Hala's journey, which is a version of the American Dream that I know will inspire you:

Watch this 1 minute 46 seconds on Delegate Hala Ayala's journey from working at a convenience store to working on national security and doing right be her son every step of the way.

So I am asking you one last time this year, to help with a goal that I think is reasonable, given that we are all tired: help raise $5K total for Hala by coming to this event in 12 days. (Lower than our Wendy and Shiela goals out of respect for how much you have done.)

We have a few hosts who have already stepped up, big time: Vince Lopez, the Honorable Tannia Talento, and co-host Katie Cristol among others. I have set a more modest goal for this event than the events we did for Sheila and Wendy. For volunteers, we have a reduced rate.
But let me be 100% clear, this is our moment: we need your help to turn Virginia Blue now more than ever.
We have 25 days left before November 5th. What role will you play? Will we finish and get the 1 more vote we did not get in 2017?
With a full and hopeful heart for all you have done and can do on this request,
Matt
P.S. Email me if you would like to join Kip Malinosky and I, canvassing for Hala on Sunday.
