If the liberals can control elections, they can control virtually everything that happens in Washington. HR 1/ S 1 were the original versions of what is properly called the "Corrupt Politicians Act," because as some have rightly said, if this bill passes in the US Senate (it's already passed in the House), then it's pretty certain conservatives won't be winning elections for a long, long time.

Today, in just a matter of a couple of hours, the US Senate is scheduled to debate and vote on the Democrats' newest version of HR 1/S1, which is S 2093. The new version is no better than the original bills. The bill provides for donor disclosure, which would severely hamper the efforts of groups such as Wisconsin Family Action to engage in public debate on critical issues such as abortion and religious freedom. The bill also robs states of the right to run their elections, determine voter qualifications, ensure accuracy of voter registration rolls, and more. The bill also allows online voter registration without valid ID and more. Simply put, this bill is a disaster.

By the way, our hope is Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Krysten Sinema (D-AZ) will stay strong on their promises to uphold the filibuster in the US Senate. Without the filibuster, the liberals can ram through anything they want and put it on Biden's desk. The filibuster requires 60 votes to pass a bill rather than a simple majority of 51. In the current US Senate, the Democrats have 51 votes because Vice President Kamala Harris is President of the Senate and casts any tie-breaking vote.
