I’m so grateful to share that over 1,100 Team Ro members took my recent
survey on the filibuster.

My team and I learned so much about the priorities of our supporters,
especially for which topics you’d like us to tackle as soon as the
filibuster is abolished. But one thing became very clear after reading
through them: Our current systems are not working for working families –
and the filibuster is blocking much needed progress.

I promise
that I am doing all I can to change that. [ [link removed] ]If you would like to support
my work to bring your fights to the frontlines of Congress, including
abolishing the filibuster, please chip in what you can today to help
support our movement.

Beyond this unsurprising – but disheartening – fact, I also learned much
more about the specific issues that are important to you. I love diving
into data, so please indulge me as I share a few statistics that really
stood out to me:

* 97% of our survey takers support abolishing the filibuster.
This does not surprise me one bit.
The filibuster has been used by Mitch McConnell and the Senate GOP to
stop progress at every turn.
* 78% of our survey takers listed “Voting Rights” as the top issue they
want addressed in a post-filibuster Congress. The hundreds of bills
attacking voting rights that are being passed in state legislatures
across the country is appalling and an attack on our democracy. We
need to pass the For the People Act of 2021 immediately.
* Just behind voting rights, 66% of our supporters shared that
addressing climate change is a top priority. There is an urgent need
to protect our planet, which is why I’m fighting for the latest
infrastructure bill to include green jobs and steps to tackle climate
change.
* And coming in third, nearly 500 supporters want Medicare for All. I
have co-sponsored legislation to allow anyone 65+ to buy into
Medicare, and have been a fierce advocate for Medicare for all. This
is a fight I am not giving up on.

Reading through all your responses and the passionate support for so many
of these important issues reminded me why I’m in this
fight. As I said
earlier, I will not rest until we get our country back on the right track
and working for all Americans.

Are you with me?
