Hello Friend,

We are so proud of all the amazing things that were accomplished at the
legislature this year and we want you to join us on June 24th at 5pm for
our 2021 NVLeg Wrap-up! From Nevada’s first Public Option Bill to a ban on
ghost guns and even taxing the mines, there was a ton of progress this
year.

This session was full of wins, but also some hard losses. During our event
we will discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly. One of our biggest
successes was SB420, which provides a public option for Nevadans who need
better access to healthcare. This is a big deal! Nevadans deserve access
to affordable quality healthcare and SB420 puts Nevada on the path to
achieving this goal. Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro sponsored
this bill and we can’t thank her enough for being dedicated to expanding
access to healthcare in Nevada.

NV’s Public Option + Other Major Bills

Healthcare wasn’t the only major success, with the passage and signing of
AB286 Nevada has banned ghost guns. Dangerous unserialized firearms that
are sold as kits, ghost guns are designed to circumvent background checks.
Assemblywoman Sandra Jauregui championed this bill and we will be giving
you all the details at our event.
