Last month’s violent rocket attacks on Israel, and the surge in antisemitism that played out on the streets of New York and around the world, were a stark reminder of just how important our work at Pro-Israel America remains. Working for a pro-Israel Congress remains our principal focus.
In June, Pro-Israel America ramped up our critical work of electing pro-Israel members of Congress in 2022 and announced our new slate of congressional endorsements [[link removed]] , all of whom understand that a strong U.S.-Israel relationship is a force for good in the world, and many of whom are already facing anti-Israel opponents and challengers. We have endorsed a total of 33 candidates [[link removed]] this cycle, with more to come soon.
We also pushed back on the dangerous statements from vocal anti-Israel detractors in Congress like Rep. Ilhan Omar, who recently made comments [[link removed]] that compared the actions of the United States and Israel with the those of terror groups like Hamas and the Taliban. In fact, PIA United, our sister organization, launched a new ad [[link removed]] that strongly denounces the Congresswoman’s recent statements. I also wrote about the clear link [[link removed]] between anti-Israel rhetoric and the rise in antisemitism.

The 30 pro-Israel candidates – 15 Democrats and 15 Republicans – are proven leaders on issues related to the U.S.-Israel relationship and are all running for re-election next year. These 30 candidates for Congress in 2022 follow Pro-Israel America’s recent endorsements [[link removed]] of Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Representative Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), and 2021 special election endorsement [[link removed]] of Shontel Brown (D-OH), who is running in the open-seat Ohio 11th district congressional race vacated by former Congresswoman and now Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Marcia Fudge.
Pro-Israel America endorsed 12 Senate candidates, including: Senators Michael Bennet (D-CO), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), John Boozman (R-AR), Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), Mike Crapo (R-ID), Maggie Hassan (D-NH), John Hoeven (R-ND), James Lankford (R-OK), Jerry Moran (R-KS), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Tim Scott (R-SC), and Ron Wyden (D-OR).
