After record voter turnout in the 2020 election sent a Democratic trifecta to Washington, Republicans have introduced nearly 400 bills to restrict access to the ballot box in 48 states.

A few of these bills have passed, including one in Georgia that implements strict discriminatory ID requirements, limits ballot drop boxes, shortens runoff elections, and even makes it a crime to bring food and water to folks waiting in line to vote.

We can do something about this and protect our sacred right to vote by passing the For the People Act in the Senate, which would implement a national standard for fair voting processes, expand and protect mail-in voting, and reform our broken campaign finance laws.

We have the opportunity to finally pass this bill TODAY and strengthen our Democracy, but Mitch McConnell and the filibuster are standing in the way. If 10 Republicans don’t step up and vote “yes,” this critical bill will die without a vote or even debate.

The For the People Act will strengthen our democracy, and we must pass it in the Senate today. Add your name to my petition demanding Republican Senators step up and support this bill because every American deserves to have their voice heard.
