Friend,

We wanted to bump up this petition in your inbox because eight children die every day due to failures of safe gun storage. This past year alone, 20,000 people died of gun violence — the highest in twenty years, and there are mass shootings more days than not.

These numbers should be enough of a call to action. And yet GOP leaders will do everything in their power to shut down progress on this critical issue.

Friend, stand with Mad and add your name to hers to send a message that we no longer take inaction and excuses as over one hundred Americans die every day from gun violence. [[link removed]]

Thank you,

Team Dean

Friend,

Thank you to everyone that stepped up to donate before our latest deadline — your generosity is heartening, and your support is critical to holding this seat and a Democratic majority in the House.

We wanted to take this opportunity to provide an update on Mad's gun violence prevention work. In a recent Judiciary Committee hearing, a certain member of the GOP pointed to owning a gun as "not just a Constitutional right, it’s a God-given right" as well.

June is gun violence awareness month — and while the Pennsylvania GOP passes more anti-choice restrictions, espousing "pro-life" absurdities, they refuse to pass any commonsense legislation that would ACTUALLY SAVE LIVES.

It's indefensible and immoral.

365 days a year, lawmakers on the other side of the aisle ignore the hundreds of people who are shot and killed. They ignore the heartbreak of families who have lost loved ones in mass shootings. And we won't stand for it any longer.
