This week, we are thrilled to announce our next three candidates of 2021! This is another high-stakes election year in Virginia, and we must protect the Democrats' fragile majority in the House of Delegates. Read on to learn more about the candidates, and find out what you can do to help right now.

Our 2021 Wave 2 Candidates Are:

• Martha Mugler - VA HD 91
• Finale Norton - VA HD 100
  

We have matched each of these candidates with volunteer teams and affiliates across the country, who will support the candidates with field and fundraising support throughout the entire campaign cycle.

WHY VIRGINIA IS IMPORTANT

This is a banner general election year in Virginia, with a competitive gubernatorial race and a fragile blue majority in the House of Delegates at stake. While Democrats have made thrilling gains in the Commonwealth with Medicaid expansion, ratifying the ERA, and repealing the death penalty, we must protect and expand the majority in order to pass critical progressive legislation including banning assault rifles, raising the minimum wage, and recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

WHAT CAN I DO RIGHT NOW?

1. Make a donation of $20.21 (or more if you can!). Your donation will go directly to your candidates, and split equally to help them build winning campaigns. GOP candidates are often funded by just a few big donors, so let’s show them some grassroots love!
2. Spread the word! Help others learn about our candidates on social media.  Follow them, and check out the shareable graphics you can use to help promote them on our candidate pages.
3. If you’ve heard from your local Sister District team already, we encourage you to jump in and help organize! If you’re interested in starting a team, please respond directly to this email.
