Friend, right now, we are witnessing the largest coordinated attack on the right to vote in modern history as ultraconservative legislators across the country, including in my state, are trying to pass hundreds of bills to make it harder to vote.

These new laws will have serious consequences, from shuttering polling locations to closing ballot drop-off sites to purging voter rolls and ramping up restrictive voter ID requirements. On top of all that, we're witnessing so-called "audits" in places like Arizona that are untethered to reality – all to breathe life into the lie that the election was "stolen" from Donald Trump.

If you're anything like me, I can bet you want to protect our democracy just as much as I do.

We can take action at the federal level before it's too late, but I need your help. The Senate will soon be voting on the For the People Act, a sweeping piece of legislation that will protect and expand voting access. Having already passed the House, we will need a major grassroots movement to get this through the Senate.

That's why I'm counting on 10,000 members of this team to immediately sign on as citizen co-sponsors* of this legislation. Will you add your name to join me in supporting the For the People Act now?

Please, sign your name to become a citizen co-sponsor of the For the People Act and help us stop Republican attempts to restrict voting rights nationwide.

Thank you,

Gary

*If you have already signed on as a citizen co-sponsor, I am hoping you will sign your name once more to ensure your information is still up to date.
