I wanted to make sure you heard the news, John — EMILY’s List just endorsed our campaign for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania!

Will you chip in any amount to our campaign to help us keep up this momentum before our 48-hour deadline expires on Wednesday? I’ll explain more in a moment: [link removed]

Nearly 50 years after Roe v. Wade established a woman’s right to an abortion, reproductive justice should not be under attack.

Yet, politicians in Pennsylvania and Republican-held legislatures across the country continue to advance extreme anti-abortion bills, year after year, while wages, parental leave, and public health take a backseat — even while women, disproportionately Black women, continue to die during childbirth.

And they won’t stop until they overturn Roe v. Wade — a real possibility now that the U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to consider Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban. As a doctor, I can tell you firsthand that those restrictions would have horrific consequences for women and families.

That’s just one reason why it’s so important that we have more pro-choice women voices in the U.S. Senate.

I’m honored that EMILY’s List believes in me as they build a strong coalition of Democratic pro-choice women across the country. And our team is hoping this announcement brings in a surge of donations to build up our campaign in these crucial early stages.

After all, EMILY’s List stands for “Early Money Is Like Yeast” — in other words, establishing a strong foundation gives candidates an advantage, one that women candidates do not always have because they don’t get the same level of national backing that men do.

EMILY’s List knows that this race is especially important. Not only do we have an opportunity to flip a red seat blue and expand the Senate majority, but we also have a shot at sending the first woman from Pennsylvania to the U.S. Senate to stand up for women’s rights and reproductive justice.

So if you’re able to help us build on this momentum before our deadline expires tomorrow, please chip in whatever you can: [link removed]

Your support means so much to me and my team. Thank you.

Val
