We need you to help us keep up the fight. It has been a year since the resurgence of #BlackLivesMatter protests nationwide, yet, acts of police brutality have not ceased, as witnessed by the recent tragic deaths of Daunte Wright and other Black Americans. 

It is hard to believe it has only been just over a year since George Floyd was brutally killed at the hands of a police officer. While it is a relief that the officer responsible has been brought to justice, and that other involved officers will stand trial, this is not true justice. 

Friend, true justice would be George Floyd still being alive. At the National Urban League, we seek racial justice through meaningful police reform, and challenged Congress to “Rise To The Moment.” We are urging the adoption of our 21 Pillars for Redefining Public Safety and Restoring Community Trust. 

We are working for these reforms in George Floyd’s memory. And in Breonna Taylor’s memory. And in the memory of too many other Black Americans who have died at the hands of law enforcement.
