How We’re Honoring International Day of the African Child

On June 16, we celebrated International Day of the African Child ([link removed] ) , a day that acknowledges the challenges children in Africa face daily and inspires action to help overcome them. Check out our blog highlighting our Southern Africa School Feeding Initiative! Since the start of this project, Rise Against Hunger has provided over 15 million meals, nourishing nearly 17,000 students in southern Madagascar.

Hogar del Niño is the only school of its kind in the Dominican Republic and over 80% of their 1,000+ students come from at-risk communities. Emmy first started attending at age five when her teachers realized she was struggling to communicate. At Hogar del Niño, she learned sign language and started receiving Rise Against Hunger meals.
