The For the People Act will have its first vote in the Senate later TODAY.
This moment is absolutely critical.
Increasing the urgency, the Far Right-controlled Arizona legislature is poised to pass a disastrous voter suppression bill today, the same day as the U.S. Senate vote on the For the People Act! The wave of state-level attacks on the right to vote will only keep growing until Congress uses its authority to act!
Fortunately, we have ads running IN ARIZONA – in both English and Spanish – to keep pressure on Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly to support passage of the For the People Act. But this work can’t continue without the vital and ongoing support of members like you.

We expect the first Senate vote on the For the People Act NEXT WEEKTODAY!
This is the bill that would stop the new wave of far-right voter suppression state legislation, stop gerrymandering, stop billionaires and corporate interests from buying our elections, prevent corruption with stronger ethics rules, and generally make voting more accessible and more secure for generations.
We continue to marshal a massive groundswell of grassroots activity to ramp up pressure on both senators AND the Biden-Harris administration -- to use its unique influence and leverage to help pass the bill.
We're running ads in target states ... working with Black clergy from states facing new voter suppression laws on events in Washington and Senate lobby visits ... have joined a Freedom Ride Bus Tour from Jackson, MI to Washington, DC (happening NOW) ... and more.
People For members are leading the charge in the nationwide grassroots movement to save our democracy and pass the For the People Act and now it's crunch time!
We’re demanding that every leader who’s with us use every tool at their disposal, every bit of influence and leverage they have, to knock down the Senate filibuster and PASS the For the People Act.
And we’re going to move those Democrats who are standing in the way of ending the filibuster and saving our democracy by making it undeniably clear to them and their constituents that Americans of all political stripes overwhelmingly support the For the People Act…
…That Americans embrace the reforms it contains that would stop the partisan power grabs, the racist voter suppression, the Big Money takeover of our elections, and the other subversions of our democracy being pushed by far-right legislators across the country, fueled by Trump’s Big Lie about the 2020 election…
…That the stubborn partisan extremism of Republicans in Congress is NOT a legitimate reason to block a bill that has popular bipartisan support among the People…
