John,

I’m gonna talk about growing up in Pennsylvania, but first, I have to ask:
[ [link removed] ]Will you please donate $5 for the first
time before our end-of-quarter deadline on June 30? I’m so
grateful for your support (even if you think Wawa > Sheetz).

Ok, now on to the good stuff. I was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, when my
parents were just two teenagers starting out on their own. I love my
parents — even if my wife, Gisele, is their favorite. 😂

We started out struggling. My dad was a union grocery worker at ShopRite,
working night shifts. The union way of life helped keep our family
together while he went to college. Dad graduated, got a good job as an
underwriter, and we moved to suburban south central Pennsylvania.

I loved being a big brother to my three younger siblings, Rob, Gregg, and
Kristin. We share a lot of memories from growing up in Pennsylvania
throughout the years, from evacuating during the Three Mile Island crisis
as kids in 1979, to hiding stashes of Hershey chocolate from our parents.

When I left Pennsylvania for grad school, I *never* envisioned myself
ending up in public service — not as Mayor of Braddock for 15 years, not
as Governor Wolf’s Anger Translator (aka Lieutenant Governor of
Pennsylvania), and certainly not as a candidate for the U.S. Senate.

Apparently, I also *never* envisioned myself getting a haircut. 👇

But I came back to Pennsylvania because that's where my heart is. Gisele
and I are raising our kids in Braddock, right across the street from
Andrew Carnegie’s first steel mill. I have dedicated my life to improving
our Commonwealth.

When marriage equality was still unjustly illegal, I was the *first*
public official in Pennsylvania to officiate same-sex marriages.

Since taking office as Lieutenant Governor, Pennsylvania has seen a 500%
increase in clemency applications and commuted more deserving lifers in
the past two years than in the previous 25 years combined.

And every time the flag police come to take down my legal weed + pride
flags, I put them right back up — and I’m just gonna keep doing that.

[ [link removed] ]John, if
that’s the kind of never-give-up attitude you want to see in the U.S.
Senate, can you chip in your
first donation of $5? To be successful,
we’re gonna need to build a huge campaign across all 67 counties in
Pennsylvania.

You may like Wawa more than Sheetz. You may say #FlyEaglesFly while I say
#HereWeGo. But help send me to the U.S. Senate and I’ll fight for *all* of
yinz, just like I’ve been fighting for Pennsylvania my whole life.

Thanks,

John Fetterman
Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania
