A Note from the Executive Director
Hi friend, Alice here. It’s been more than two months since the legislature adjourned, and I wanted to give you a quick update about what we’ve been working on here at Strong Future Maryland with our first monthly newsletter! As always, thank you for being a part of this movement for a more equitable, just Maryland. - Alice

If you haven’t heard, Governor Hogan has been vetoing bills left and right, including more than 20 bills that would have addressed serious needs in Maryland. If that weren’t enough, his failures around unemployment insurance continue to pile up.
Website glitches, folks waiting 9 months for help, and ending the extended benefits for no reason – it’s clear that struggling Marylanders aren’t on his list of priorities. You can bet we’ll be working hard to overturn these vetoes and get Marylanders the help they need. Can you power our work with a contribution today? >>>
