I know Gary -- he's been by my side in the Senate since 2015. And every day I watch him work hard to make our federal government more transparent and accountable to the people of Michigan and folks across the country. He's been a fierce advocate for good paying jobs, affordable healthcare, secure retirement, and giving everyone a fair shot at success.

But his Republican opponent, following Leader Mitch McConnell and the rest of his Republican colleagues, would do the exact opposite. And his opponent raised $1.5 million in less than a month to take Gary on. That's not even counting the immense amounts of dark money sure to pour into this race.

Look: We need to flip three seats in 2020 in order to take back the Senate. That means we not only have to gain seats -- we can't afford to lose a single one. We just can't afford to lose Gary's seat.
