Dear Supporter,
For all the positive environmental news we've seen over the past few months, make no mistake—fossil fuel interests and right-wing opponents are not slowing down their attacks.
Just take the latest from QAnon enthusiast Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado: She's introduced the 30x30 Termination Act to block the Biden administration's conservation pledge, and it's quickly gaining support from other conservative lawmakers, activists, and media outlets.
30x30 is a bold vision to conserve 30% of the country's lands and waters by 2030—and it's a needed strategy to meet the climate crisis and provide space for wildlife and communities to flourish. Scientists say this target is absolutely essential for our planet and future.
But if our right-wing—and vocal—opponents have their way, 30x30 will remain a vision only. This is why we are launching our

30x30 Membership Drive this June. We've set a goal of 900 new Wilderness Guardians to ensure 30x30 isn't thwarted and we have the resources to fight back at full strength. Can you help?

It's an ambitious goal—but it's what this moment demands. Rep. Boebert and other conservative interest groups continue to push the false narrative that 30x30 is nothing more than a land grab, and they have launched plans to help local governments oppose 30x30. Furthermore, these organizations are bankrolled by the Koch and DeVos families. Needless to say, your support matters more than ever in this fight.
And fortunately, we have something they don't: people power. And we know how to combat disinformation campaigns—but it's a 24/7, 365-days-a-year job that requires a steady source of funds.
Our June 30x30 Membership Drive and your membership today will help us advance 30x30 and pass aggressive state and federal policy to embed enduring legislation at every level. It helps us restore the public lands that the Trump administration treated like bargaining pieces to give away. It supports our work pushing for a national moratorium on oil and gas drilling on our lands. It levels up our ability to protect our forests, like Tongass National Forest, from roads and other destructive practices.
Conserving 30% of our lands and waters by 2030 will be a combination of different programs adding up— each critical to the overall whole. And that’s why our June 30x30 Membership Drive is so important. Your membership is an incredibly valuable piece to our collective ability to deliver bold action and see big wins.

Supporter, we're fighting so hard for 30x30 because we know it's the only way to stop the dual extinction and climate crises and preserve clean water, clean air, and a stable climate—all while promoting frontline and Indigenous leadership.
