Many LGBTQ+ young people face challenges due to stigma and
discrimination, but they can be healthier and happier with your love,
acceptance and support. Our resources can help you protect your child
against the risks of substance use and take action if your child has
already begun to use substances.
This June, Pride Month, we offer new resources for families of LGBTQ+
youth. You can learn more about family acceptance and what a
difference it can make in both preventing substance use and helping a
loved one address it, including:
* Understanding their increased risk
* Finding LGBTQ+-friendly treatment
* Connecting with LGBTQ+ community resources
Families can help promote a loved one's well-being. With love
and support, you can decrease your child's likelihood of
substance use and improve their mental health.
