Dear John,
I hope you get the chance to tune into our 14th Annual Values Voter Summit taking place in Washington, D.C. this weekend. I believe it will encourage and stir your heart.
Some of the brightest stars of the conservative movement will join us including President Donald Trump, talk show host Dennis Prager, Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), Dana Loesch, Lt. Col. Oliver North, Eric Metaxas, and many more. You can watch it live online.
Although you could not join us on site, we wanted to extend an invitation to be a part of an important initiative this weekend.
I know you were appalled -- as all Americans of conscience were -- at the coordinated attempts we've seen this year in state after state to pass the most extreme abortion expansion bills ever. It began in January with New York's "Reproductive Health Act" that legalized abortion up to the day of birth and denied medical care to babies who survive an abortion attempt.
To push back, FRC initiated a plan to send 90,000 hats to the House of Representatives. But not just any hats -- tiny blue-and-pink newborn hats, which are a visible symbol of the humanity of babies in the womb!
Over 48,000 baby hats have been funded to-date, but we need your help to keep the momentum going. This weekend we need to raise 10,000 baby hats.
Every $9 you give will cover the cost of one newborn baby hat. That means:
- $9 = 1 hat
- $90 = 10 hats
- $225 = 25 hats
- $900 = 100 hats
Will you help us race past our goal so together we can send the message to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) that babies should be met with warmth, not harm?
I want to leave you with an encouraging story of what one church is doing to take a stand for these innocent, vulnerable lives...
Kim Wiggins, wife of Pastor Garry Wiggins at Evangel Temple Assembly of God in Jacksonville, Florida, recently shared with Tony Perkins on Washington Watch of how they held a 5K on September 21.
"We called it Awaken 5K: Save the Babies [and help] end birth day abortions. We sold tickets for $20, and we told our people to run, walk, stand, do something. We had 140 runners and walkers, and we raised $10,000!"
One participant, Carol Gibson who is 76 years old and walked the 5K raised the most: $2,000! Kim went on to share that "the wonderful thing about Carol is that she had had an abortion before she came to know Jesus, and she is passionate about saving babies."
Half the money they have raised will go to two local pregnancy resource clinics in Jacksonville. The other $5,000 they have graciously invested into our End Birth Day Abortion campaign.
That's 555 baby hats!
Talk about putting feet to your faith! Join Kim, Carol, and thousands of other Americans in taking action today to protect babies. Thank you!
