First, the City of San Jose decided it was a good idea to force liability insurance on gun owners, and then it went full radical by mandating the video-taping of every single gun purchase in the city. GOC’s Executive Director Sam Paredes told CBS “None of these proposals have any sort of evidence that they would curb gun violence in any way, shape or form. And, speaking of anti-gun lunacy, the Legislature is just weeks away from shutting down for their summer recess and we are still keeping tabs on bills moving through the process. Assemblyman Levine’s AB 1223, the bill to slap a hefty excise tax on both guns and ammunition was amended in a slick maneuver to skirt a legislative deadline. He needs a 2/3 vote and we know he is twisting arms to get this bill off the Assembly Floor.
