John, Connecticut
includes some of the wealthiest and poorest people in the United
States, all within a short drive of each other — we need action
from the federal government to address this, and Congressman Jim

Nancy Pelosi announced Congressman Himes has been chosen to serve
as Chairman of a new Select Committee focused on addressing our
nation’s worsening economic disparities.

Economic inequality in the United States has grown for decades,
and the pandemic has only amplified this crisis. Congressman
Himes described addressing this economic disparity as “the
challenge of our lifetime,” and pledged to lead this committee
toward real solutions — we know Jim will do a great job, and
