- First, the President told four members of Congress to “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came” — because they are women of color with the temerity to challenge a corrupt system.
- Then KellyAnne Conway demanded a reporter share his ethnicity instead of answering his question about racism — telling us everything we need to know about how race factors into the way she and the President treat people.
- And David Perdue pathetically deflects and says “that’s outrageous - of course they’re not racist” in response to the President’s racist tweets — because his fear of the President’s anger outweighs his commitment to American values.

We don’t need an X-ray to confirm whether or not the President has a racist bone in his body. He’s shown us what his heart holds — with actions dating back to housing discrimination as a New York City landlord in the 1970s.
We don’t have the patience to keep playing this game of “is it racist or not” that emboldens white nationalists to crawl out from the mud and receive airtime on CNN.
This administration and the white nationalists aligning themselves with it don’t deserve a shred of the legitimacy that David Perdue gives them when the President disrespects the American people and our elected officials because of the color of their skin.
