The Senate is voting on the For the People Act tomorrow, friend. --------Begin Forwarded Message --------- Friend, Since Donald Trump's defeat in November, Republicans across the country have followed his attacks on our democracy by doubling down on voter suppression efforts. In 2021 alone, 48 states across the country have tried to stifle votes through poll closures, restrictive voter ID laws, voter roll purges, absentee voting and vote-by-mail limits, partisan maps, and more. These tactics disproportionately target Black and other marginalized citizens. These laws are unacceptable. Jason knows our country is strongest when everyone can participate in democracy. That's why he worked tirelessly in the House to pass the For the People Act. This bill would make voting easier, our election systems stronger, politics more transparent, and redistricting non-partisan. The Senate is voting on the For the People Act next week. Once again, Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans are promising to filibuster the bill. Look, the filibuster has already blocked equal pay and the bipartisan January 6 commission this year. We can't let a minority of senators obstruct the will of the American people again. Jason and his House colleagues took action earlier this year to protect our democracy and need your voice, friend. An all-out assault is being waged against voting rights. Sign on now to demand an immediate end to the filibuster, so we can get the For the People Act to President Biden's desk: ADD YOUR NAME Thanks, Team Crow Paid for by Jason Crow for Congress Jason Crow for Congress If this is not your preferred email address, you can update your information here.
