For decades, the global gag rule has disrupted health systems around the world, blocking foreign non-governmental organizations from receiving any U.S. global health funding if they so much as educate patients about safe abortion care. The Biden administration has rescinded this deadly restriction, but until Congress takes action to permanently end the global gag rule, future Republican presidents can — and will — reinstate it.

We must stop anti-choice extremists from blocking life-saving health services across the globe once and for all. Tell your member of Congress: Permanently end the global gag rule in this year’s appropriations bills!

Ending the global gag rule will improve health outcomes and access around the world — especially for women, rural populations, the LGBTQ+ community, and those with lower incomes.

It would ensure no clinic is forced to close because of anti-choice Republican politicians who value extremist ideology more than the safety and well-being of those living in poverty around the world.
