Be sure to check out the first episode of our new webinar series Liberation Struggles from Palestine to Latin America

Dear Supporter,

The Nakba (catastrophe) was the expulsion of hundreds of thousands of native Palestinian families from their homeland in 1948 by Israel, supported by the United States government. Since then, many Palestinians have been living in diaspora around the world, including in Latin America, and no matter how "settled and comfortable," they may be in those foreign lands, they remain determined to return to their homeland.

AMP is pleased to announce a new series, “Liberation Struggles from Palestine to Latin America,” exploring the lives of Palestinian diaspora in Latin America and the parallels of apartheid structures from Israel to the southern border of the United States. Let us remember that all struggles are interconnected, and no one’s freedom is complete without the liberation of all oppressed peoples.

Join us on Wednesday, June 23, 3:30 EST, for the first episode of our new webinar series exploring Latinx solidarity and the intersectional struggles from the apartheid wall in Palestine to the border wall between US-Mexico, featuring:

  • Prof. Marcelo Marzouka, a Palestinian-Chilean lawyer
  • Mae Nazar Kafati, a Palestinian-Honduran
  • Pedro Rios, Director of the American Friends Service Committee’s U.S./Mexico Border Program.

We hope you can join us for this event and please spread the word by sharing on Facebook.

Sincerely,

Shakeel Syed
West Coast Organizer
