John,

Since Democrats took back the White House, Senate, and held onto the House majority last election, Republicans in state legislatures across the country have been hard at work attacking our right to vote. They're trying to change the rules in order to hold on to power.

So far this year, 389 bills in 48 states have been introduced to restrict voting rights. And in 14 states, these voter suppression bills have already become law. From restrictive voter ID laws to voter roll purges, Donald Trump's allies will do whatever it takes to attack our right to vote.

Earlier this year, Kim and her Democratic colleagues took action to protect our democracy from these voter suppression tactics by passing H.R. 1, the For the People Act. This bill will help strengthen and reform our democracy by providing automatic voter registration, enacting ballot box protections, ending partisan gerrymandering, and more.

The For the People Act is an important step toward ensuring everyone's voices are heard and that our elected officials actually serve the people who elected them. Now, the Senate is set to vote on this historic legislation tomorrow. While Mitch McConnell will do everything he can to block this legislation, we need to know that you're with us in the fight to protect our democracy.

Will you add your name to join Kim in calling on the Senate to protect every American's right to vote and pass the For the People Act?

Thanks,

National Republicans have named Rep. Kim Schrier's district a top target for the midterms, so we need your help to build another winning campaign. Will you chip in to protect Kim's seat and the Democratic House majority in 2022?
