Drag Queen Public Library Story Hour: Another example of the far-left's indoctrination of our children? June 21, 2021 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Evan Lips, communications director 617-523-5005 ext. 245 WOBURN -- Plymouth residents can expect quite the show tomorrow at noon on the front lawn of the town's public library when a tandem of drag queens takes center stage for a storybook hour targeted at children as young as three years old. "Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models," the library's announcement reads. Massachusetts Republican Party Chairman Jim Lyons said Monday it's worth asking whether this is the future of pre-K education envisioned by left-wing activists. "Are parents in Plymouth aware of this event? Who is making these decisions to schedule these sorts of events? Should this type of activity be occurring at publicly-funded venues?" Lyons asked. "One thing is clear and it's that the left is actively working to introduce sexual concepts to children who are far too young to grasp the meaning. "One can't help but ask, 'what's next?'" According to the library's website, one of Tuesday's drag queen readers will be an individual who goes by the name "Just JP" and is the chapter organizer of Boston's Drag Queen Story Hour. Just JP will be reading to toddlers alongside another drag queen who goes by the name Nüqueer Power. Power is a self-described "trickster of a thousand faces" who is "genre and gender defiant." Since then the organization has expanded into "a global network of local organizations." In March, a 38-year-old Milwaukee County Children's Court judge and organizational sponsor of Drag Queen Story Hour events in Wisconsin was arrested and charged with seven counts of child pornography possession, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The newspaper reported that the judge, Brett Blomme, allegedly uploaded 27 videos and pictures depicting child sexual abuse to a messaging app using the handle "DomMasterBB." In 2019, a public library in Houston, Texas, drew criticism after it allowed an individual charged with sexually assaulting a child to entertain children at a Drag Queen Story Hour event. Library officials said the individual failed to complete a background check prior to participating in the program. "It's a fair question to ask who benefits from these performances," Lyons said. "Is it toddlers, kindergartners, and other children, who never asked to be indoctrinated into this, or is it the far-left activists?"
