Hi there,
Donald Trump has spent his whole life (including his time as president) breaking the law and avoiding the consequences. Now, as he lingers in real legal jeopardy on bank and tax fraud, his ally, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, is trying to help him beat those charges as well.
Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr. has been leading the fraud investigations into Trump. According to county officials, there's enough evidence to indict him. But there's a narrow window for Vance to act since he is expected to retire this year. To complicate matters, DeSantis has said that he would use a loophole in Florida law to protect Trump from extradition if he's indicted by Vance in New York.
This means Vance's only chance to indict Trump without DeSantis interfering will be while Trump is in New Jersey this summer.
Trump is also planning big rallies this summer, and we know exactly how his last “call to action” ended -- with a deadly insurrection. The Republican Senate failed to hold Trump accountable, but now is the perfect time to indict him before he incites more violence.
That's why, as we continue to seek accountability for this failed president, we need to know if the American people believe DA Vance should act as soon as Trump is out of Florida.
Please, friend, let us know where you stand today:
Should Donald Trump be indicted this summer?
As always, thank you so much for your input.
