Now look, I know it's common to hear other political leaders introduce each other as “my friend,” but I mean it when I say that I consider Andy Kim a dear friend in Congress.

I admire both Andy's salt-of-the-earth roots and his deep-seated commitment to civility and service. I'm also impressed by all that he's accomplished in his first two years in office, from our work together on the coronavirus crisis to his leadership on the Armed Services and Foreign Affairs committees.

As Majority Whip, you don't need to tell me how close our margin is in the House. Here's just one example: If five members voted the other way, we wouldn't have the American Rescue Plan.

That's why National Republicans and their dark-money super PACs are already spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on Andy's race. They know their path to retaking the House starts in NJ-03 and that Andy can't be bought, so they're trying to buy his seat instead.

We simply cannot let that happen. I'm counting on Andy to keep making progress for folks from everywhere from South Jersey to South Carolina, and I'm not the only one, either.

When he first ran for Congress, Andy made a promise to his two boys to fight for a better future. With your support, we can keep that promise together -- for all our children and grandchildren.
