John,

In less than two weeks, we have a huge milestone for the Colorado Turnout Project. It’ll be the first official FEC deadline of the year for us.

That means we’ll submit a public report to the FEC about how much we’ve raised in the last six months. This report gets scrutinized heavily, and many special interests will be hoping to see our movement lose momentum. So it’s important for us to be able to post strong the strongest numbers possible.

There’s a lot coming up – with the election just around the corner and several races already heating up, we need as much support as possible so we can provide critical organizing support to Democrats running in Colorado. That’s why we’re writing today asking for your support before the FEC report is due.

The Colorado Turnout Project doesn’t raise money the old-school way at fancy parties with wealthy donors. We rely 100% on grassroots fundraising to keep up the fight against Colorado Republicans. Our average donation is just about $20.

More than 1-in-4 of our campaign dollars come from generous supporters giving over emails like this one. It’s a critical funding source for us. That’s why we’re writing today ahead of this big end-of-quarter FEC deadline.
