"I oppose Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s plan to permanently slow down the mail and undermine the USPS."

Friend,
Trump’s hand-picked Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy, is still head of the USPS, despite intentionally slowing down the mail last year when people were depending on the USPS to deliver their mail-in ballots, prescription drugs, paychecks, Social Security checks, unemployment benefits, and more.
Now, Louis DeJoy has proposed a plan that would permanently slow down the mail while raising postage rates―creating a death spiral for the US Postal Service.
There’s a public comment period that ends tomorrow, Tuesday June 22nd. Already, people across the country have submitted more than 100,000 comments opposing DeJoy’s plan to further erode USPS service. Can you add your voice before the deadline?

Before being appointed by Trump to head the USPS, DeJoy was a major donor to the impeached former president’s campaign and a Deputy National Fundraising Chairman for the GOP. He’s now under investigation by the FBI for potentially illegal political fundraising activities.1
But, before he’s hopefully removed from his position at the top of the USPS, he’s attempting to push through a plan to undermine the very agency he’s charged with running.
I’ve heard from and rallied with residents and postal workers in Michigan’s 13th district to voice our grave concerns and opposition to DeJoy’s proposed changes, which include slowdowns to USPS service standards, from 1-3 day delivery for First Class Mail to 5 days.2

It's bad enough that DeJoy is seeking to fulfill a long-held right-wing dream to undermine the USPS and steer service to private carriers. But he also personally stands to profit if the USPS is destroyed. DeJoy has invested $75 million in Postal Service competitors and contractors like Amazon and his former company XPO Logistics.3
Together, let’s fight back against DeJoy’s plan to destroy the USPS.
Thank you for fighting to preserve our Postal Service, which connects our communities and provides millions of good-paying jobs across the country.
Always serving you,
Rashida
