We have a couple things going on this week, and our monthly meeting is Sunday.
Today (Monday) at 6:30, the Labor Engagement Group meets in person for brats and Labor Day Parade float planning. If you would like to be involved, we could use your help. Reply to this email and I will give you the details.
Ongoing, Line 3 Organizing. I see no zoom meetings scheduled, but Tom Julstrom informs me that many things are happening, so if you would like to join these efforts, email Tom at [email protected] .
Regarding Line 3, our chapter is featured in this summer's edition of Democratic Left. Members will get their issues soon, but you can read it online here.
On Friday, 5:30, the Racial Justice Working Group meets. Email Lydia at [email protected] for a link to join. This group is engaged in seriously good work pushing the Cahoots style response system for 911 calls.
Our monthly meeting is Sunday the 27th at 4 pm. Use this link to register. Our former meeting place, the Central Hillside Community Center (where OneRoof is located) is scheduled to open up again in the fall.
One topic we will consider is how we are going to support our endorsed candidates, Azrin Awal and Mike Mayou. And they need our help. Primaries are in August. Door knocking is just getting started.
