In just a few short weeks, we will announce this year’s honorees, and I believe it is important to emphasize the tireless work they have continued to do throughout the global pandemic. I am astounded by their strength and perseverance, and I look forward to having the opportunity to celebrate them with you this fall.
This year’s gala is also one of the first opportunities that you may have to meet WOLA’s incoming president, Carolina Jiménez. Carolina will have officially taken the reins of the organization as of August 1, 2021, and I look forward to all that she will be able to bring both to the gala and WOLA as a whole.
