Welcome to the first day of summer! As we enjoy a chance to go back to the pool, cook out with friends, and head to the beach, we’re inviting you to join one of our summer traditions, the Summer Sustainer Drive.
Once a year, we reach out to our networks and ask them to sustain our work. All year, we fight for a better Washington, DC – we lead Peace Walks, campaign with Excluded Workers for cash assistance, demand protections for essential workers, and fight for better housing protections. And this year, we’re celebrating the last 20 years, and looking towards the next 20 years on our 20th Anniversary website.
Your sustaining donation allows us to continue to fight these important campaigns. It allows us plan for the future – guaranteeing our funding over the course of the whole year, while allowing you to give each and every month in line with your budget.
If you give this week, you will receive some great thank you gifts from the DC JWJ team and help us unlock our matching gift if we reach 65 new or upgrading donors.

Anyone that gives any amount is invited to our supporter picnic on July 11.
- Anyone who gives over $25 a month gets homemade cookies.

Anyone that gives over $35 a month level or above will be able to challenge Eliana to a game of Grand Theft Auto.
- Anyone that gives over $50 a month will get a self-care basket curated by the DC JWJ staff.
Our goal for this sustainer drive is 65 new donors in one week. We know our community will continue to invest in the important work of DC JWJ.
