They don’t want a fair fight.

That’s the message Republicans have been sending through their actions. They’ve lost the popular vote in seven of the last eight presidential elections and their policy positions are widely unpopular amongst the general public.

But instead of shifting their positions to where the country is and building coalitions, they’re focusing instead on rewriting the rules to stay in power without true democratic support. They’re working hard to redraw congressional district lines to favor themselves and pass extreme voting laws that exclude people (or voters) they don’t think will ever support them.

The foundation of our democracy is that our leaders are picked by the voters, not the other way around. Will you chip in today so that Democrats can keep the majority in Congress and pass voting protections to ensure permanent free and fair elections?

The party of Trump has only become more aggressive since his defeat last November. They spent months seeding doubt on the results that were double and triple confirmed. They failed spectacularly, but they’re moving on to other plans.

Election results denier Rep. Jody Hice is running for Secretary of State in Georgia. His core issue is that sitting Secretary of State Raffensperger didn’t do enough to steal the election for Trump. Other election deniers are following suit, running for positions to unfairly tip the scales in the GOP’s favor.

With 23 states under complete Republican control, the party is gearing up to gerrymander congressional district lines to ensure Republicans can stay in power, even without the most votes.

We still have time to protect the integrity of our elections. Contribute today so we can continue fighting for democracy in this country.
