The Left Is Attempting to Micromanage Our Elections
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is trying to use every procedural trick in the book to get the left’s election “reform” bill—S.1 or the “For the People Act”—passed despite opposition from his own party. Heritage has led the charge to expose the dangers of the bill, which would federalize and micromanage the election process administered by the states. “It would implement nationwide the worst changes in election rules that occurred during the 2020 election and go even further in eroding and eliminating basic security protocols that states have in place.” Read the Heritage fact sheet to understand the consequences of what’s at stake.

Ending the Filibuster: A Power Grab by the ‘Slimmest Majority’
With the ‘For the People Act’ heading to the Senate floor this week, the left is more determined than ever to kill the filibuster. Heritage senior legal fellow Thomas Jipping explains how this is an example of power corrupting those in leadership. “Is the Republic still better off when the Senate maintains its checks and balances? Or has power so corrupted Senate Democrats that they will simply abandon all of what they claimed the Founders had in mind and what they themselves proclaimed only a few years ago?” Jipping writes in a must-read commentary. Read the full article to learn more about the implications of ending the filibuster.

Critical Race Theory Will Destroy Our Military U.S.
Marine Corps veteran Dakota Wood knows a thing or two about how the USMC functions and about diversity within its ranks. That’s why this Heritage senior research fellow can say with authority that forcing critical race theory on the military poses a grave risk to our armed forces. “America’s military draws young men and women from all backgrounds and all walks of life, integrating them into teams united in common identity and shared purpose, to serve our country. What are they to think when they are told that the country they have sworn to serve is structurally prejudiced to favor one group over another?” Wood writes in his latest commentary. Read the full commentary to learn how CRT would affect our armed forces.
