Dear John,
All workers deserve a fair and equitable workplace. When our workplaces are safe, our communities are safe. When workers' rights are under attack, we must stand up to dangerous corporate agendas that hurt workers, small businesses, and communities.
Amazon’s Prime Day is today, which means in the following weeks Amazon workers will be more susceptible to injuries due to punishing work conditions. That is unacceptable. Will you join us today to stand with workers and advocates resisting Amazon’s abusive practices? Here’s how you can join the fight:
-
All day, activists from over 20 cities will be covering their communities in solidarity visibility for them. You can follow ALIGN and the #AmazonHurts hashtag on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for the latest on all the powerful actions going on in the ground.
-
At 2 PM ET, the #AmazonHurts Twitter Town hall will bring together workers and advocates to reveal the worker surveillance behind Prime Day and the massive injuries that surveillance drives as featured recently in a blockbuster New York Times exposé.
-
At 9 PM ET, you can join this virtual rally in solidarity with workers. From there, we’ll work together to cover CEO Jeff Bezos’ mansion with projections from workers and our own thoughts in real time. If you tweet with the hashtag #AmazonHurts, we’ll project your message on the front door of Bezos.
Can we count on you to RSVP HERE TO JOIN THE VIRTUAL RALLY?
In solidarity,
Patrick Nevada
