Happy Father's Day, friends!

I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Father’s Day with your family. It has been a long and devastating year for many families. But I hope you were able to see your loved ones today after a long year of distancing from those most important to us in order to keep them safe.

My dad has been a rock in my life — supporting me in everything I have done, from the time I told him I wanted to run for office as a child, through law school, and through my campaign. And perhaps most importantly, he taught me to always use my voice in the powerful rooms where I belong.

As a New York State Senator, I am working every day to honor him and fathers throughout the state, advocating for policies that support fathers and families: whether that is expanding subsidies for childcare in this year’s budget or reducing incarceration which keeps so many fathers separated from their families.

Thank you for reading, and again, happy Father’s Day — whether you’re celebrating with your dad, your children, or any man in your life who has guided, supported, and uplifted you through thick and thin.
