John, this is a longer email, but I hope you’ll read all the way to the end and consider chipping in $3 to my reelection campaign.

If nothing else, this week has taught us how the rules of the Senate are keeping this country down.

Senator Joe Manchin has come out against not only the For the People Act, but against ending the filibuster, in the hopes of fostering some sort of bipartisanship.

Let’s be honest right now, John: Republicans have made it abundantly clear that they will not come to the table to help the American people.

If they wouldn’t step up during the most deadly pandemic of the last century, what could possibly make them reevaluate their priorities?

The path forward is obvious, John.

Democrats -- who were given a mandate by the American people last year -- need to take the reins and deliver real, material change.

That’s why it is critical for us to retain -- and expand -- the majority in 2022.

These pieces of legislation are too critical to wait even days more, John, which is why I’m giving my all to pass them.

So I need to ask: My end-of-quarter deadline is coming up in just 10 days and we haven’t hit our $10,000 goal. Will you rush $3 to help protect my seat and defend the House majority?
