Hey there: Kentucky Senator Rand Paul has been hard at work this year.

After a violent mob of white supremacists stormed the Capitol on January 6, Paul made it his job to force a vote in the Senate to throw out Donald Trump's impeachment trial -- setting the groundwork for Trump's eventual acquittal.

Now, after successfully blocking a January 6 commission into the insurrection, Paul is using his position to convince Americans that democracy itself is the problem.

While defending the GOP's new wave of voter suppression, Paul brazenly claimed that “the idea of democracy and majority rule really is what goes against our history and what the country stands for.”

January 6 will only be the beginning of the violent attacks on our institutions if we allow insurrectionists like Rand Paul to continue degrading our democracy from within the most powerful legislative chamber in the country. That's why Charles Booker wants to force Paul into an early retirement in 2022.

Republicans want us to believe we can't flip this state, but progressives say otherwise. Why? Because Democrats have already won statewide in Kentucky before. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear surprised everyone when he flipped the state blue in 2019 with ideas for a better future, just like Booker's progressive ideas will carry him to victory in 2022.

But we have to be clear: Rand Paul is a powerful, two-term, Trump-endorsed incumbent. We need to raise millions if we want to keep this race competitive, and we're already falling $2,609 short of our daily goal to support progressives like Booker.
